I can’t even believe I am posting this as a recipe because it’s just so simple! But figured since I get lots of questions about it, might as well have some place to guide everyone back to.
Making your own salad dressing is one of the easiest ways to keep your diet and health under control. It seems like a tedious task but if you make a large batch and store it in the fridge for the week, you will be saving yourself from extra calories and excess sugar!
I like to go vinaigrette based for dressings but even the restaurant or store bought versions can have added sugar which just isn’t necessary. So here is a sugar-free recipe you can make that is just as creamy and delicious. This recipe is for one serving but double, triple or quadruple it up to save yourself time during the week.
- 1 tbsp avocado oil
- 2 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tbsp dijon mustard
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt
- pinch of pepper
- Combine all ingredients in bowl and enjoy.
