Lily’s Eating and Sleeping Schedule: 5 months old
I never expected to create so much baby content on my blog, even when I was pregnant. I honestly thought I would just show a glimpse of her here and there but I guess that’s kind of hard when your account is about your life and for the first 3 months of being a mom, Lily was legitimately the only focus I had…
One of the good things that came from sharing so much mommy content was “meeting” so many of you online, from literally all over the world. So many of you have babies around Lily’s age! It’s so cool receiving your photos, hearing your experiences and I’m truly honoured how much you share with me, even in the most vulnerable moments.
Clearly this this post does not apply to all of you but it applies to A LOT of you, which is wild! And I’m always referring people to my posts about sleeping and breastfeeding but the truth is, the schedules written in these blogs is long done. So I wanted to update her feeding and sleeping schedule on this space, for now, as I know it will change, yet again!
Obviously this isn’t everyday but let’s call this an average day of Lily:
7:00 am – wake up + breastfeed
8:15 am – solids (purees only for now, let me know if you want a post about this)
9:00 am – nap 1
11:00 am – wake up + breastfeed
1:00 pm – nap 2
2:30 pm – wake + breastfeed
4:30 pm – nap 3
5:30 pm – wake + breastfeed
6:00 pm – solids/purees
6:30 pm – 7 oz bottle pumped milk (I always pump for this bottle at 10pm the night before)
6:45 pm – bath
7:00 pm – asleep
If you ever see me on IG stories pumping during the day, it’s because I missed one of the feeds in the schedule. Otherwise I only pump at night.
Now that she sleeps through the night I have definitely noticed a decrease in my milk supply. I’m not worried though as I know my body is producing what she needs (I mean, her thighs say it all) and I was overproducing before. I’m just not used to NOT being so full so it feels weird. She currently doesn’t love solids but we are just slowly introducing them and I know it will take a while. I can definitely write more about this if you want.

As always, find me over on Insta for any questions and I’ll be back with more updates soon!
