BABY KALE, RECIPES

What my 10 Month Old Eats in a Day

Feeding your baby can be such a fun and exciting time and there is so much I enjoy about it. From sharing our meals to watching her faces while she tries new things, I absolutely love meal time with Lily.

But I know it can also be a source of stress for a lot of moms. Between picky eaters to not knowing what to make them, feeding babies definitely comes with it’s own challenges.

We started solids at 5 months and you can read all about that journey in this post. We have since come a long way from pureed sweet potatoes so today I want to share what we typically feed Lily in a day.

This is just an example but hopefully it will help give you an idea of some meals or snacks for your babe.

A few things to note:

  • she has no allergies
  • we will give her anything except honey
  • everything is cut roughly the size of a chickpea
  • majority of her food is a cut up variation of what we eat. We don’t cook separately for her with no sauce, salt, etc. because we don’t cook with a ton of it anyway
  • the only thing we spoon feed her is soup and her yogurt but otherwise she eats everything with her hands

Breakfast

  • Skyr or Greek yogurt with mashed banana and peanut butter
  • Oatmeal with cut up blueberries and almond butter
  • Scrambled eggs (she has eaten them and they are a good easy breakfast but she doesn’t like them)
  • Smoothie (I will share my smoothie with her if there is no protein powder in it)

Lunch/Dinner

  • Meatballs (beef, turkey or chicken)
  • Chicken fingers
  • Pasta with parmesan cheese or tomato sauce
  • Annie’s mac and cheese
  • Steamed broccoli
  • Chicken soup – we let her self-feed the soft carrots and boiled chicken on her tray
  • Beef and barley soup
  • Any veggie soup – easiest way to get her to eat green veggies right now
  • Boiled peas

Snacks

  • Fruit/veggie pouches
  • rice puffs
  • cheese
  • berries
  • hummus
  • Everything I eat. She will literally want anything I eat and a lot of time I can’t eat in front of her unless I want to share half my meal.

Let me know if you have any Q’s or would be interested in a baby food EBook with some recipes!

xoxo
