Bath time for me was always luxurious. Nothing was better than soaking in the tub after an intense workout or relaxing in the bath on a Friday night after a long week. But a shower? Well that never felt like a luxury, just a necessity. Then…I had a baby. And let’s just say, taking even 5 minutes to quickly wash my hair feels like an afternoon at the spa! So when I partnered with Pantene to try their new Pro-V Blends Rose Water Sulfate Free collection, it felt like the perfect opportunity to actually schedule in some ‘me-time.’ After all, how can I really try out a shampoo and conditioner if I’m basically using them at the same time trying to beat the clock before my babe wakes up?!
I’ve used Pantene shampoo and conditioner pretty much my whole life, so I was super excited to try their sulfate-free line. While I’m not an ‘all natural girl’ with most of my products, I have started to try and pay more attention to ingredients. The new Rose Water collection is also free of parabens, dyes and mineral oil.
This past weekend at the cotty, thanks to all the helpful hands we have in the family, I was able to take a few breaks from mommy life. The first thing I wanted to do was take a long relaxing shower and actually enjoy my products instead of rushing as I normally do. I was super excited to see how the new Pantene Rose Water Sulfate Free collection would feel. And I’m not gonna lie, the packaging is so pretty that my shower already felt more luxurious just by using them!
In the past with more natural products, I have noticed that you often have to sacrifice certain things you like about them, like texture or smell, for the benefits of cleaner ingredients. With the Rose Water line, the first thing I noticed is the texture was similar to that of my usual Pantene shampoo. And then I noticed the lather. I’ve found it hard to get a good lather when washing my hair with natural shampoos, so I was so happy to get that satisfying lather despite the lack of sulfates, parabens and dyes in the Rose Water Soothing Moisture Wash. Needless to say, it also smelled amazing.
Once I was out of the shower I thought I would take further advantage of my alone time and blow dry my hair. It dried so smooth thanks to the Rose Water Restoring Moisture Milk Conditioner which I learned releases nutrient-rich hydration into the hair in order to replenish it. My hair had 100% not felt as clean or looked as good since before Lily was born.
It was soon time to returned to real life but first, I obviously had to take a bunch of selfies. When I returned to the crowd from my little “shower getaway” I literally felt like a different person and was even asked if I had just gotten my hair done. I said no but shared my new secret – Pantene’s Rose Water Sulfate Free collection.
Who knows when my next afternoon at the spa…I mean proper shower will be, but I can guarantee it will include the Rose Water collection. Thanks Pantene for giving me the opportunity to sneak away and take care of myself and my hair.
