His + Her Valentine’s Day Gift Guide for the Fitness Lover
Being the sweets and chocolate addict that I am, I love Valentine’s day solely for the wide variety of candy and junk food taking over every aisle in the grocery store and pharmacy. Hello heart-shaped box of Ferrero Rochers, I’m talking to you.
Actually, it’s probably more accurate to say I used to love Valentine’s day for these reasons. But to be completely honest, I try not to eat so much junk food anymore (try being the operative word) and when I do consume it, it leaves me feeling guilty, anxious and just gross on the inside. I know, I know, I am working on the whole balance thing but that is not what this post is about.
Today it’s about finding a new reason to get excited about Valentine’s day and that reason is…presents!
I know some of you may be thinking, Valentine’s Day is just a made-up holiday created by large corporations like Hallmark and Cadbury to entice consumers to buy more stuff they don’t need with money they don’t have. Okay Grinch, we get it. But why not think of it as a good excuse to treat your loved one, or more importantly, treat yourself to a nice little gift?
So instead of focusing on all the junk food I can’t have, why not think about all the stuff that makes me feel good. And nothing makes me feel better than fresh workout gear and accessories.
With that in mind, I have put together a gift guide that is fit for the workout lover. Whether you sweat it out with your hunny or hit the gym alone for a little self-love, these products will make you excited about opening up your gym bag instead of a package of heart shaped m&m’s.
